Delete your Mechanico account
This page explains how to delete your account in the Mechanico app, published by [to confirm: company name], and what happens to your data.
A Mechanico account is linked to a phone number. The same account is used for the client view and the garage view. Deleting the account deletes both.
Delete your account in the app
If you use the client view
- Open the "Profile" tab.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap "Delete my account".
- If you want, first tap "Export the history as PDF first" to keep the history of your cars.
- Type the word SUPPRIMER in the field.
- Tap "Delete my account".
If you use the garage view
- Open the "My garage" tab.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap "Delete the account".
- Follow the same steps: type SUPPRIMER, then tap "Delete my account".
Your request is taken into account right away.
Delete your account without the app
You no longer have the app, or no longer have your phone? You do not need to reinstall it.
- Write to [to confirm: contact e-mail].
- Subject: "Mechanico account deletion".
- Give the phone number of the account.
To check that the account is yours, we contact you on this number (WhatsApp or SMS) before we delete anything.
We handle your request within [To confirm: handling time for an email request]. Then the same rules apply as in the app (see below).
What happens right away
- You are signed out on all your phones.
- Notifications stop. The list of your signed-in phones is deleted.
- Your pending requests and your upcoming appointments are canceled. The garages are told.
- Work already started (car already at the garage) is not canceled.
- On their job sheets, garages no longer see your first name or your number.
If you own a garage
- If there is no other owner, your garage is closed: it disappears from search and receives no more requests.
- Requests with no answer are refused and upcoming appointments are canceled. The clients are told.
- Work already started stays with your team.
- If there is another owner, the garage stays open: they manage it.
For 30 days, you can change your mind
Your account is kept for 30 days before the final deletion.
To get it back, sign in again with the same number. The app asks "Restore the account?". Tap "Restore". Your account comes back with your cars and your history.
- Canceled requests and appointments do not come back.
- If you were an owner, your garage stays closed. To reopen it: "My garage", then turn off "Temporarily closed".
After 30 days: what is deleted
The final deletion runs automatically, every night at 3 am (Morocco time), for accounts whose 30 days have passed. If you sign in again after the 30 days, it runs right away and you start again with an empty account. After that, the account cannot be restored.

What is kept, and for how long
Your requests, your messages and your reviews are not deleted. They are detached from your account: they no longer have your name, your number or your photo. The content itself (a text, a photo, a position) stays as you sent it.

Why we keep this data
- The garage and the other person in a chat need to keep the work done and the messages, for their invoices, their warranties and their disputes.
- A car history also helps the next owner and the garages.
- Reviews help other drivers.
- Reports and message copies are used for safety and moderation.
Erase a specific item
You can ask us to erase a specific item, for example a message where you wrote your name. Write to [to confirm: contact e-mail]. We answer within 10 clear days, unless the law requires us to keep this item. You can also delete your messages for everyone, within 2 days, before you delete your account.
